Where StatusCake fits

StatusCake sells monitoring first: uptime, page speed, SSL expiry and domain checks, with a public status page as one of the things it can produce. That makes it good value if you were going to buy monitoring anyway, and poor value if all you wanted was a status page, because you are paying for check volume either way.

Best for

Teams who want detection and customer communication from one vendor.

Watch out for

The status page is a feature of a monitoring suite rather than the main product, so design and audience controls are shallower than a dedicated tool's.
